Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 24, 2026 • Effective Date: October 24, 2026

Quick Summary: Qetent develops and publishes independent mobile applications for iOS and Android. We believe in privacy by design. We do not sell your personal information. Most processing (such as photo editing, drawing, and camera processing) happens directly on your device. When we collect data, it is solely to provide our app features, fix bugs, and ensure seamless performance.

1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications developed, owned, and published by Qetent ("we," "our," or "us") on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, as well as our official website (https://qetent.com).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any Qetent application or visiting our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our applications or services.

2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Depending on which app you use and the features you interact with, we may process the following types of information:

A. Information You Provide to Us Directly

  • Customer Support Inquiries: When you contact us via email (hello@qetent.com) or through our website contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message to respond to your request.
  • User-Generated Content & Local Preferences: In apps such as creative design tools, notes, or fitness trackers, you may create projects, text entries, or custom settings. In virtually all cases, this data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud / Google Drive account, not on our proprietary servers.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Hardware Specifications: Device model, operating system name and version (iOS / Android), device language, screen resolution, locale, and hardware performance metrics.
  • App Usage Telemetry: Anonymized interaction statistics, such as app launches, session durations, features accessed, and interface responsiveness.
  • Crash Reports and Diagnostics: In the event of an app malfunction, diagnostic logs and stack traces are collected to help our engineering team identify and resolve bugs (via standard frameworks such as Firebase Crashlytics and Apple App Diagnostics).

C. Device Permissions (Sensitive Capabilities)

Certain categories of our applications require specific operating system permissions to function. We only request permissions strictly necessary for user-initiated actions:

  • Camera Permission: Required by our Camera, Photo Editing, and Augmented Reality tools to capture photos, record video, or display live preview filters. All camera processing is performed on-device in real-time. We do not transmit or store your live camera feed or captured imagery on remote servers without your explicit action.
  • Photos & Media Library Permission: Required by our Creative Tools (e.g., photo editing, graphic design, canvas drawing) to allow you to import images from your gallery for editing, and to save your exported projects back to your camera roll. Your personal photos remain private on your device.
  • Microphone Permission: Required strictly when you record video with audio or record audio memos inside supported utility apps. Audio data is processed locally.
  • Storage Permission (Android): Used on applicable Android OS versions strictly to read user-selected files and save exported creations.
  • Approximate Location (Optional): If requested by an app, approximate coarse location is used solely for regional preferences (such as temperature units or localized time calculations). We never track precise background location.

3. In-App Purchases and Payment Information

All financial transactions, paid app downloads, in-app purchases, and auto-renewable subscriptions are processed exclusively through:

  • Apple App Store: Managed via Apple Media Services and StoreKit.
  • Google Play Store: Managed via Google Play Billing.

We do not collect, process, or store your credit card details, debit card numbers, or billing addresses. All transactions are subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies and terms of service. We only receive non-sensitive purchase receipts and entitlement tokens to unlock premium features inside our apps.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely for legitimate business and operational purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and provide the core features of our applications.
  • To diagnose technical issues, analyze crashes, and publish timely software updates.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To prevent fraudulent activity, security breaches, and abuse of our applications.
  • To fulfill our legal and regulatory obligations under applicable laws.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties for monetary consideration.

We only share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our apps, subject to strict confidentiality and security standards:

  • Apple Inc.: App Store distribution, in-app purchases, iCloud synchronization (where enabled), and opt-in diagnostic telemetry. (Apple Privacy Policy)
  • Google LLC: Google Play Store distribution, Google Play Billing, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. (Google Privacy Policy)
  • Advertising Partners (if applicable): Certain free applications may display advertising via industry-standard networks (such as Google AdMob). These networks may use non-sensitive device identifiers. On iOS, we strictly adhere to Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, requiring explicit user consent before any tracking occurs.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or valid governmental request.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

  • Support correspondence is retained for up to 12 months after resolution to handle follow-up inquiries.
  • Anonymized diagnostic and crash telemetry is aggregated and retained by analytics providers according to their standard retention schedules (typically 14 to 60 days).
  • User Data Deletion Request: If you wish to request the deletion of any personal data we may hold (such as your support history), you may email us at hello@qetent.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process and confirm your request within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

Our applications and website are intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area / UK).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at hello@qetent.com. We will promptly take steps to delete such information from our records.

Any Qetent application specifically tailored for families or children complies strictly with the Google Play Families Policy and Apple App Store Kids Category guidelines, ensuring no behavioral advertising or non-compliant SDKs are included.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA / CPRA

Depending on your location, you may have specific statutory privacy rights:

  • Right of Access & Portability: The right to request copies of your personal information.
  • Right to Rectification: The right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): The right to request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Right to Restrict or Object to Processing: The right to request restriction of processing or object to our processing of your personal data.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, please reach out to us at hello@qetent.com.

9. Data Security

We implement robust, industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmission to our website and web endpoints is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (HTTPS / TLS).

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our apps, technologies, legal requirements, or developer guidelines from Apple and Google. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
